Where are you today, America?  Man, is everyone on "Featured Spaces" or what?  It's really getting boring here.

I had more fun posting numbers last weekend!  Maybe people are actually out there having fun.  That would be pretty cool!  So I hope you're having fun.  I think I'm going to go out and do that too!

I love the nights of August.  Since I was a young child freezing on the docks of the lake where we stayed in the middle of the night in my jammies, I have always enjoyed these next few nights when I could.  This is the time of year, where late at night or early in the morning, there is magic in the sky.  Meteors race about leaving rainbows in their wake and I see the wonder of God when He plays. 

 

Some things, I think, were created specifically to capture the minds of man and the Perseid Meteor shower is one of them.  Children should see this if at all possible because it leaves them with a sense of wonder and amazement at the universe around them that will be with them for their entire life.  In the north,  early tomorrow and Saturday morning are the prime viewing time, however family picnics on  blankets in the grass at night will probably give a view too.  

 

This is the good stuff that life was made for!  Get out and see it!

NASA, have we learned anything in this experience?  Can we do a more responsible job next time?  Let's work on that.  Yeah...  Not for nothing, but this program is too important to be leaving it to a can of "Great Stuff" and duct tape.  Yeah...  Do we now understand the concept of redesigning ?  Yeah?  I don't want to ever have to mention this again.
